As I sit here, typing my first post, I am wondering why it has taken me so long to put into words what I have wanted to say. After around 5 years of 'umming' and 'ahhing' whether to start a blog I have finally found the inspiration and courage to put together the pieces of something I have wanted to do for such a long time.
Despite sounding a complete cliche, I have known from a young age that I had a love for fashion; something that was also known by my parents from the get go since I insisted on dressing myself from the age of 2 and a took any opportunity for a shopping trip (usually leaving with half of the shop in tow).
Over the years that followed, the love I had for fashion grew and the development of Instagram meant posts from the fellow fashion conscious were now at my fingertips. Finding a whole host of bloggers creating content gave me numerous ideas of how to style my outfits, experiment with different trends and develop a serious online shopping addiction. Blogs inthefrow and thestylebungalow have become a weekly, if not daily, viewing for me; with their style, photography and beautifully worded posts inspiring me to create a blog of my own. A place where I can share my passion, creativity and insatiable love for fashion.
At the age of 22, I write this feeling satisfied that I have found my own style and overcome my fear of judgement so I can confidently share my open & honest opinions and write about the things I love most. While I'm not the girl to look to who will be rocking the craziest new trends, I am the girl who has an unhealthy habit of browsing the pages of ASOS and Net-A-Porter, will overdress for the most menial of occasions and a shoe collection to rival a high street shop.
So, in a nutshell, I am rather excited to begin creating content of my own, which may not always be the most eloquently written or have the most professional photography but is something I, and hopefully whoever is reading this, will gain great enjoyment from and that's all that matters.
